Workshops (Tuesday - Friday)

** Many have asked how we can have 1 day and 3 day workshops that start on Tuesday afternoon. 1 day workshops start Tuesday afternoon and end at noon Wednesday. 3 day workshops start Tuesday afternoon and end at noon on Friday. Hopefully this helps explain how the schedule works. **
Workshop 1 (1 Day)
Topic: IT Project Planning and Leadership
Presenter: Bob Hodge
Abstract: How can I translate the ministry plan into an IT strategic plan?
As the IT leader, how can I assure the success of this plan or project over time?
How can I become a more valued member of the leadership team of my ministry?

Beyond Gantt charts and system specs, the IT leader must be a leader of people more than a manager of technology.
This session will focus on wisdom of project leadership more than techniques. If available, bring your ministry's
strategic plan and your IT plan. We will interact throughout the session to bring life to the plans and assure success.

Workshop 2 (3 Days)
Topic:  Linux Server Installation and Configuration
Presenter:  Tim Young and Greg Beeley
Abstract: More than an introductory workshop, this will walk a Linux beginner through the process of installing and configuring a Linux server with the most commonly used services. We go over some basic maintenance and security information as well, so you can go away fairly confident that you can deploy Linux safely. It is a hands-on workshop, so you will install
and deploy a server with the help of our lab-techs, and hopefully get most of your most pressing questions answered.
